Scheduling an appointment-

Please call durring office hours to schedule an appointment. We are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am - 5 pm and Wednesday 8:30 am - 12 pm. Please be aware for new patient appointments it may be 4-6 weeks until we have availability.

Initial Appointments-

Your pets initial visit with ADCC will last approximatly 2 hours. Please allow enough time. We require the pet's primary caregiver attend this appointment so we may obtain the most complete and accurate history. Prior to the appointment we will send you a history form to complete, please bring that with you to the appointment. You will also be asked to bring ingredient labels from food and treats, shampoo, lotions, all medications and any products you may use for your pet. This includes prescription and over the counter medications and products. ADCC will request medical records from your pet's primary veterinarian. If there are any additional medical records from other veterinarians your pet has seen please fax them to us in advance or bring them to the appointment. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete additional paperwork. Please check in at the front desk when you arrive.

A member of our team will take you and your pet to an exam room where they will review the pets history form with you as well as all of the information from food, medications and products you have brought with you. They will be asking you many questions durring this time so the more information you have the easier this will be. The doctor will then review the information and do a thorough exam, any necesarry diagnostics and discuss your pets condition and treatment options with you. Results from some diagnostics may be available prior to the end of the appointment, others may take a few days to several weeks. Prior to the end of the appointment a treatment plan for your pet will be reviewed with you. This will explain what was found, what diagnostics were performed durring the appointment as well as the treatment you will need to follow at home for your pet.  A recheck appointment should be scheduled prior to leaving this appointment as most dermatological issues reqire ongoing care. Payment in full is required prior to leaving ADCC. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover,Cash and personal check w/ valid identification.  ADCC does not offer any payment plans.

ADCC will fax your pet's veterinarian within 24-48 hours with a referral letter that will update them on all findings and treaments that were performed at the appointment. Please return to your pet's veterinarian for all routine care. We do not replace your pet's primary care provider.

 Recheck appointments -

Recheck appointments are essential in most cases, usually 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment and thereafter based on your pet's progress and treatment plan. These appointments usually last about 1 hour. It is alwasy best to schedule these appointments as far in advance as possible. We will often ask for a telephone update on your pet but these do not take the place of the recheck exam.  Most dermatologic issues must be seen by the docotor prior to any treatment being prescribed.

Cancellation Policy-

Please call at least 24 hours prior to your pets appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. There is a missed appointment fee equal to the cost of the consultation fee if we do not hear from you at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. We must enforce this as we often have a very long waiting list and it is very difficult to fill the extened appointments at the last minute. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
